Happy 19th Birthday Emily!

Tommorrow is my niece Emily's 19th birthday. She is in her second year at Carolina and is just an amazing young lady. I remember being only in the 8th grade when she was born and how neat I thought she was from the very beginning. I still think she is just the coolest ever and I can't say enough about how proud we are of her. We love you Emily and we hope you have a very Happy Birthday.

A Day in Gastonia

Saturday we went to Gastonia to see Emily while she was home on Fall Break and wish her Happy Birthday! We got to see Erin play soccer, and of course the boys were able to play around with Andrew. We had a great time and we are looking forward to Thanksgiving already. Love you all!

Poor Andrew, he is such a good cousin to let them beat up on him so much.

Are These Women Related?

I just thought this was a funny picture of my mom, niece and sister. They all have the same pursed lips look...can you tell they are related?

Tennessee

Today we went to Tennessee to visit the Taylor crew. We spent most of the day visiting with Aunt Kerry and Uncle Rene. Michael and Wilson got to feed the bunnies, jump on the trampoline, and pet the gerbil so I think it was a fun time for them. When Allison and Jillian arrived home from school the boys were really ready to have some fun with their cousins. We had such a great time! Here are some pics from the day. I forgot my camera but luckily Aunt Kerry took some pics from the visit. Love you all.

Jillian, Michael and Allison watching Simon the Cat...I have never heard so much giggling.

Carving Pumpkins

Today we carved our pumpkins we bought at the corn maze. The boys could hardly wait. I let Bryan do the honors since I am pretty scary with a knife...could have ended up at the ER with me doing it. Bryan turned out to be a pretty good carver and the boys were so proud of the finished product.

Scooping out the goop inside.

Wilson's pumpkin...he refused to have his picture made with it.

Michael making the same face as his pumpkin.

Now scooping out the big pumpkin...they hated the way it felt.

Watching Daddy do his work.

Out on the porch with the finished product...Happy Halloween!!!

Foothills Corn Maze

Since the boys have been sick all week and stuck in the house, we decided to take them outdoors today for some fun. We took them to the corn maze here in Morganton which is owned by some friends of ours here. What a great time we had. I am so glad Morganton finally has something like this to enjoy the Fall season. The boys really liked walking through the maze and following the path. They also loved the hayride. Unfortunately I let Bryan have the camera for a few minutes, and you will see from one of the pictures why I don't let him have it that often. Men! We will definitely be making this trip a family tradition.
