A Big Weekend

This weekend was filled with lots of road trips.  Finally we are back home and waiting for the snow to come.  Friday evening we took the boys to the Freedom High School Varsity Boys basketball game.  It was their 1000th game and they were recognizing all past Freedom Basketball players.  Wilson and Michael cheered for all the boys who played in the 80s, especially Daddy.
On Saturday, we headed to Greensboro to meet our new puppy.  We made the decision about a week or so ago that we wanted another dog and it had to be a lab.  We found the perfect pup and now he is part of our family and fitting in quite nicely. Wilson and Michael decided to name him Woody in keeping with the Toy Store names.  He has settled right in and as we speak is conked out on the carpet in Wilson and Michael's bedroom...perfect.

Yeah Daddy!

Woody, 9 weeks old, already ruling the couch.

Isn't this where a dog is supposed to sit?

He just wants to sit where the boys are...watching them play a game.

Michael took this picture of our new sweet puppy.  Welcome Woody!

Happy New Year!

Welcome 2011!  We spent New Years Eve day undecorating our home.  Although it was sad to take down all the Christmas decorations, I just could not bear the combination of sheetrock dust and Christmas decorations one more day.  We had one of our rooms drywalled this week and there was just a white haze covering the entire living room.  We decided it would be better to put everything away and do a thorough cleaning.  Thankfully, Wilson and Michael were actually great helpers in the undecorating process.  They helped me the entire time and made sure everything went back in the correct box.  Love my boys!

We didn't do anything for New Years Eve except spend time with each other, which is how I like it. We did a mock New Years count down at 8pm and sent the boys to bed, Bryan and I were not far behind. Once again, I didn't make it to see the New Year in but it came just the same. Hope everyone had a safe and happy New Years and wishing everyone many blessing in 2011.

Me and my boys.  Bryan's resolution is to get more pictures of me this year.  I tend to always be behind the camera rather than in front.

Just love our animals.  Tiny Paws and Buzz resting on the ottoman.

What harmony!
