Being Bruno!

One of Wilson and Michael's favorite books is called "Bruno The Carpenter". It is the story of a beaver, named Bruno, who is building a tool box for all of his tools. The book goes on to describe each step of the process and what tools are used. The guys love it. They know more names of tools at the age of two (almost) than I have learned in all my 31 years. So...for Christmas I wanted Bryan to build the boys a Bruno Toolbox. Since the weather was so yucky today and there wasn't much else to do, Bryan decided to let the boys help. I still have to paint them and put their names on them but they turned out really cute for a quick little project. Way to go Daddy! Wilson helping Daddy bore the holes for the dowel rod on his tool box.
Michael gets his turn!

Bryan putting the pieces together as Wilson looks on. Did I mention, that my kitchen became the workshop since it was too cold to take the boys up to the shop. What a mess!

Wilson and Michael hammering for Daddy. Michael ran and got his toy hammer but Wilson prefers the real one. Scares me to death with it around all of our new appliances...which already have dents from toys being used as hammers on them.

Daddy nailing it all together with the nailgun! Bruno uses a hammer but Bryan prefers the heavy duty, fast method.

Michael immediately went and filled his up with tools. He knows exactly what to do with it!

Wilson adding some tools to his box.
