The Wiggles!!!!!!

This Sunday before Michael and Wilson and I headed to Holden Beach with Memaw Cates, Bryan and I took the boys to see The Wiggles at Cricket Arena in Charlotte. We had a blast. It was such a cute show and the boys really were excited about seeing some of their favorite people...like Jeff and Murray and Captain Feathersword. I must say that Bryan and I were both a little star struck too. We have been watching these guys on tv for the last year and a half. Michael did fall asleep for a little bit during the show but still managed to dance along with a few of the tunes from time to time. Now we are spending the rest of the week here in Holden Beach. While Morganton is getting soaked in rain we are enjoying the sun. Bryan just arrived today so the boys are really ready to spend some QT with Daddy. Here are a few pictures from the concert.

Trying Out Helmets

Memaw and Poppa Claus bought the boys these helmets for their 2nd birthday. Today they decided they were ready to wear them outside to ride on the scooters. They were so funny in their helmets I just had to snap a couple of pictures.

Michael in his helmet.

Michael and Wilson showing off their helmets. They are hugging each other but it looks more like Michael is about to choke his brother Wilson.

I just loved this picture. They posed so nice and hugged each other...sometimes they can just be so sweet. I almost forget how they are constantly hitting and wrestling and throwing and climbing and.....

A Week Without Posting!

Since my sis Cindy has complained that I haven't posted in a while, here are some of the things we did this past week. We really did do a lot, I just never managed to have my camera handy for the more eventful things...such as Alli and Jillian in town, Erin and Andrew in town, Taylor and Aunt Sis in town. Sorry I missed out on capturing those moments with all of you. Here are some of the less eventful things that we did last week. Hope you enjoy!

The Burke County Fair!!!

This has been a rather quiet weekend for our family. We did get to go to the exciting Burke County Fair on Friday night. We really have no choice since we can see the fair from all the windows in our house. The boys have watched it all week. So, we loaded them up on Friday night and took them to the fair. I must say it was a total rip off. It cost us ten dollars to get in, twelve dollars for food, and another twelve dollars to ride the merry-go-round. We could have gone to Tweetsie for a little more money. Oh well, the boys did love getting to sit on all the tractors and mini excavators. Guess that was the highlight for them.

Wilson on a big Massey-Ferguson tractor while reading a book about the tractors...he loves heavy equipment.

Michael says cheeeeeese!

A 40th Celebration

As I have mentioned already, today is my sister Cindy's 40th birthday. In honor of that we all headed up to Damascus, VA for some camping and fun at Bear Tree Campground. We had a great evening on Friday with brats, smores and some really good ghost stories...Chick-fil-A! This morning everyone, except Wilson, Michael and myself, headed out for a 17 mile bike ride. I spent the morning doing what every good camper should do...going to the closest Super Target!!!! Well, this afternoon we got a terrible rainstorm. I ended up packing up our car and the boys and heading back to Morganton. When everyone else got back to the campsite (muddy, wet and worn out) they discovered that all of their belongings were drenched. We failed to prepare for the 20% of rain they were calling for. Kerry and Rene got the worst end of the deal...their tent had about 4 inches of water in it. Mom and Dad and Cindy and Chris had clothing and beds wet. So, everyone ended up packing up and heading home. Cindy didn't get to have her 40th celebration but it is always just so fun to get everyone together. We love you Cindy. Thanks for being one of the three best sisters ever...I love you!

Happy Birthday Cindy!
