School Boys

As most of you know, Wilson and Michael started preschool this past month. They have both done really well with it all and seem to be enjoying it. Now when I take them they just wave bye and walk in with their teacher Ms. Lynda. This morning I managed to catch them before we headed out the door. They feel like such big boys when they wear their backpacks. Wilson runs from the camera at times but I finally got him in the last pic.

Michael is ready to go.

Finally got Wilson in the picture, yeah!

Bouncy Boys!!!!!

Since we really had no plans this afternoon, Bryan and I decided to take the boys to Bouncy Kids. We had never been but a friend of ours told us about it so we thought we would give it a try. Plus, my car was saying I still had 30 miles to go until empty so why not!! (For those of you who don't know, there is no gas in Morganton. Once a station gets a little, people line up to get some. I haven't found the patience or the time to stand in line...looks like I will be driving the F350 diesel until all of this is resolved.) The boys had a great time and they were completely pooped out when we left. Now I know somewhere to take them during those cold winter days when we can't burn off some energy outside. Yeah!!!!!

Mom's 60th Party

Yesterday we surprised my mom with a party at our house for her 60th birthday. My cousin Kathy and Kimmy drove all the way up from Clearwater, Florida to surprise her as well. It was such a nice day and we loved getting to see everyone. Happy Birthday again to a lovely mom and friend. I love you. Here are the pictures from the big event!

Happy Birthday Chris!

Yesterday was my brother-in-law Chris' birthday. Just wanted to wish you a very Happy Birthday, even if you don't recognize birthdays ;) We love you! Glad we got to celebrate with you.

My Sleeping Little Man

Tonight as I was turning off the music in Wilson and Michael's room I found Michael asleep in a very funny way. I think he learned this position from his daddy. So cute!

Happy Birthday Mom (aka.Grandma or Memaw Claus)!

Today is my mom's _0th birthday! I have been told by my father that I shouldn't disclose a woman's age so there, I didn't. Just wanted to wish you a very Happy Birthday mom! We all love you so much and appreciate all you do for us. Thanks for always being there. I love you! Here are a few pictures from the past.

A Visit from the Holstrom's

Our friends Ted and Julie Holstrom were in Blowing Rock this weekend, so this afternoon we met them in Hickory for lunch at Atlanta Bread. We actually got to visit with all of the Holstrom's. Ted's parents, Pam and Ed, were there and also Ted's sister Ashley with her two kids and one on the way. It was so nice to see everyone and we can't say enough about what a beautiful family they have. Here are two pictures of all the little one's together. They ranged in age from one to four yet we somehow managed to get a picture with them all looking. Priceless!

They did so good for the camera.

Big Boy Potty!

Yesterday evening Michael was trying to use the big boy potty before bath time. The guys do not like it when I put the training seat on so Michael found out what happens sometimes when you are just a little too little for the potty. After he did it he thought it was funny so he kept on trying to do it again.

Morganton Historic Festival

Today was the Morganton Historic Festival and Simply Green Recycling Service had a booth there this year. Bryan and I managed it this morning and then we got some help from both of our parents with the booth in the afternoon. Michael and Wilson made a few appearances at the festival even though I said I wasn't going to do that. They had fun eating ice cream and Italian ice and bouncing in the bouncy thing. They also rode the little Thomas train. We managed to sign up about 10 more customers so it did pay off.

Michael on the Thomas train. Where is Wilson...oh he jumped off the train right as the ride started. Thankfully the operator saw him and our yells brought the train to a stop. Shows you how secure the straps are on those things. You can tell Michael is just proud that he was riding it...no tears this time.

All my guys resting in the shade.

The big blowup hammers the boys just could not leave the festival without. Needless to say, we have only been home for an hour and one already has a hole in it. Oh well, they had fun with them while they lasted.

Holden Beach

So it has been a while since I have been here. We were spent all of last week at Holden Beach, NC with the Cates family. We had perfect weather and the boys enjoyed the water and playing in the sand. It was also nice to get everyone together for a little visit. My computer has been broken for the past little bit but after a few calls to Dell and a few agruments with the helpline, they finally sent someone out here to fix it. Thankfully I am up and running again. Hope everyone enjoys the pics. Some are a repeat of the Wiggles but I managed to put one on of the stage.
