This weekend was spent away from home, which is the least favorite way for us to spend our weekend. We woke up early Saturday morning, well Wilson and Michael woke up early, and headed to Gastonia to drop the boys off at Aunt Cici's house. This picture shows just how excited they were. This was a laundry basket that they "packed" with the things they would need for a sleepover at Aunt Cici's. Luckily we were able to convince them that all they really needed was a toothbrush and a change of clothes. Aunt Cici, Uncle Chris and Erin and Andrew would provide the rest of the entertainment for the day.
After dropping Wilson and Michael off in Gastonia, Bryan and I headed to Concord Mills to do a little shopping. That turned out to be more exhausting then chasing after two 3 year olds all day. We ended up in High Point at a good friends wedding. It was absolutely beautiful and a fun evening full of catching up with old friends. Funny thing was, once we got back to the hotel room we both kept commenting on how much we missed our little guys. Makes me realize how boring life was before Wilson and Michael came into our lives. Being a parent is the best thing I do every day of my life...even when it doesn't always feel that way. We woke up early this morning and rushed back to Gastonia to pick them up, thankful to be back in our weekend parent routine.
