Today was the Fall Ball for the Bee Bee Bus kids. Wilson and Michael got to wear their Halloween costumes again, which is always fun and there was games and activities galore. I took the morning off from work to be there with them. It was a great day for my little guys, and we got to finish it up by making homemade brownies.

The Weekend is Already Gone
This weekend was spent away from home, which is the least favorite way for us to spend our weekend. We woke up early Saturday morning, well Wilson and Michael woke up early, and headed to Gastonia to drop the boys off at Aunt Cici's house. This picture shows just how excited they were. This was a laundry basket that they "packed" with the things they would need for a sleepover at Aunt Cici's. Luckily we were able to convince them that all they really needed was a toothbrush and a change of clothes. Aunt Cici, Uncle Chris and Erin and Andrew would provide the rest of the entertainment for the day.
After dropping Wilson and Michael off in Gastonia, Bryan and I headed to Concord Mills to do a little shopping. That turned out to be more exhausting then chasing after two 3 year olds all day. We ended up in High Point at a good friends wedding. It was absolutely beautiful and a fun evening full of catching up with old friends. Funny thing was, once we got back to the hotel room we both kept commenting on how much we missed our little guys. Makes me realize how boring life was before Wilson and Michael came into our lives. Being a parent is the best thing I do every day of my life...even when it doesn't always feel that way. We woke up early this morning and rushed back to Gastonia to pick them up, thankful to be back in our weekend parent routine.

The New Addition to our Family
We have a new member of our family these days. To start off, I have never been a cat person. Just really didn't have much use for them...too independent, only like you when they want to eat, etc. So one morning this kitty just showed up at our door and he was hungry. We gave him a bit of food and thought that would be the end. However, I think this kitty chose us for his family. And he is actually the best cat I have ever met. Wilson and Michael pickup him up and carry him around like a baby and he endures it all. No scratching at all. So now he is part of our family and Wilson and Michael just love their kitty.
We have gone through a couple of names for him but for now I think he is called Driver. Wilson gave him this name. Most of them time though he is just Kitty. Welcome to our home!

Wow, Where Did Those Last Few Months Go!
So I guess I have been on a bit of a hiatus the last few months. Or maybe I need to just be honest and tell you that Facebook is the culprit. Looking back now, I am a bit sad that I let this happen because this blog has kind of been my way of documenting my little family and the little things that go on in our lives.
Here we are in November, Wilson and Michael will be four in a few more months and boy, are they a handful. I still wouldn't trade being a mom for anything in the world but it does have its moments.
Today was one of those gorgeous fall days so we went outside and enjoyed every minute of it. That means there was no nap taking since we only had a limited amount of daylight to burn. We had fun jumping in leaves, riding our bikes and just playing all day. And now I have two little boys sound asleep in their beds, and they have been since 7:40. Just goes to show you what a bit of fresh air can do for you! Happy Fall Ya'll!!!
Whee!!! I had forgotten how much fun it is to play in a big pile of leaves. We spent a good hour just running and jumping, while my sweet husband kept the pile nice and big by constantly raking everything back into place.
The big ole Oak tree. This thing is a whopper of a tree and wow, is she gorgeous.

Clearwater Beach 2009
I have not posted a thing here in a long time. I think since my camera broke I have been a little less picture happy. Now I have a new one so watch out. We just got back from an amazing week at the beach. It got off to a rough start but ended, as always, with me wishing it wasn't over yet. I do have to say an extra special thank you to my family. They were incredibly amazing after my fall. They just took charge and made sure that Wilson and Michael were taken care of as well as myself. I love all of you and I say this every year, but I can't wait to do it all again next year.

Catching Up
It has been quite a while since my last post. We have been busy and I just haven't sat down to blog and I haven't been the best at taking pictures lately, possibly due to my ancient camera I have to use now. Any way, Michael and Wilson finished up Wee-School last Thursday with a big picnic at Martha's Park. As you can tell from the pictures, Wilson was really enjoying himself. Michael wasn't quite himself that day! Turns out he was coming down with Strep...what fun! Wilson succombed to Strep on Sunday so we have spent the last couple of days laying low and watching lots of movies since the guys haven't had the most energy. Wilson is still not better so they changed his antibiotic, hopefully that will help him. It is kind of strange when he doesn't have any energy. Hopefully we will all be on the mend soon.

Climbing up the tire...and to think they couldn't do that last summer...they just keep on growing.

Snuggle Puppy
We have a book called "Snuggle Puppy" that I bought for the boys back when they were about a year old. I made up my own tune to the song which Bryan always laughed at. Well, now the tune has stuck. This is Wilson singing Snuggle Puppy for me. He has started singing this to me every night at bedtime and I just love it. I knew I had to record it but I didn't realize that I would also catch a few Wilson antics that show a little bit of his personality. Michael is singing along in the background and Wilson doesn't like it very much. Hope you enjoy.

Mother's Day and Fly In
First and foremost I want to extend a very Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful moms out there. I am so fortunate to know so many and to be blessed with a wonderful mom myself. I love you all.
Saturday we took the boys to the Morganton/Lenoir Airport for a Fly In. It was so cool and Michael and Wilson loved getting to see all kinds of planes up close and watching them take off and land. We even got to see an helicopter taking off! The best part was that the entire thing was free. Here are some pictures from our day.

Oops, didn't realize this one was going to pop up first. This is Bryan being photographed by Michael. I must say that for a three year old he has quite a steady hand with the camera.

Warm Weather and Earth Day!
Yeah, warm weather has finally arrived, or should I say summer weather. We have had a great weekend being outside and soaking up all the glorious sunshine. On Saturday we started the day with Morganton's Earth Day Festival. It is a neat little festival that we have been invited to for the past two years and it is free to have a booth there. Great way for us to get the word out about our recycling service. We signed up three new customers which always makes it worth while. On Saturday afternoon the boys discovered the sprinkler and then their swimming pools. It was definitely warm enough to be in the water. Oh how I love this warm weather. Here are a few pictures from our weekend.

Wilson chugging some water straight from the hose.

What teamwork filling up the pool together. We don't have swim trunks yet for them so they were swimming in their underwear. It was all I could do to keep them from stripping down completely.

Lazy Sunday!
Wee School Easter Party
So Easter has come and gone and I am just now getting around to updating my site. The Thursday before Easter Wee School had an Easter party for all the kids complete with an easter egg hunt and a visit from the Easter Bunny. Michael was terrified of the Easter bunny but Wilson loved him...just shows you how different they really are. During the easter egg hunt Wilson ran around gathering as many eggs as possible before any of the other kids could get them. Michael picked up one egg then immediately opened it for the goodies inside. It really is so funny seeing thier differences. Here are a few pictures from the party. Unfortunately, during the party I dropped my camera on the floor and broke it so I am back to my old 3.2 migapixel Cyber-shot, that I cannot stand. I guess I am lucky that I still had an extra one laying around.

Trying to get the boys to cooperate for a picture with me...never works.

Wilson with his overflowing basket. The teachers had planned on 12 eggs per child but Wilson had more than that in the first three minutes of the hunt. Luckily, they were able to convince him to share his with Michael...

...who was just busy opening his treats. Love the double chin as he works to open up another egg.

Happy Birthday Bryan!
Asheboro Zoo
This past Saturday we took Wilson and Michael to the Asheboro Zoo. It was the first time for the guys. They had a fun day and were really excited to see all the animals. Wilson would look at each animal for one second then demand to see another one. I forgot how much walking you have to do there so we were all pretty pooped by the end of the day.

To Make You Happy!
Today at preschool they talked about The Cat in the Hat. They even got to have whiskers and a little black nose on their face to go along with the hat. Michael didn't want to have his face painted, but Wilson loved it. When I picked him up after work he was so proud of being a kitty cat. So while running errands with Wilson and Michael in the car I got to be part of the sweetest conversation. This was spoken by Michael and he can find just the sweetest things to say.
Michael: "My tummy wants to go back to Memaw Cates' to get juice, but my heart wants to stay here with you mommy." (sniff, sniff)
Michael: "When I leave you mommy your heart is sad, but when I come home I make your heart happy again. It stops crying." (now I am driving down the road with tears in my eyes).
Michael: "Mommy, when we go to the park and people see Wilson is a kitty cat it will make them happy."
Just one of the best conversations I have ever had in my life. So to make all of you happy, her is my little kitty cat.

In honor of being such good boys today at preschool and while running errands, milkshakes!!!!
